Corneel Pie Chart and Corneel has joined forces: Dede's story finally finished!

Almost a year ago I made a promise to Dede to do a story for her. But I wanted it to be something special, something that wasn't done before. After a while the idea was born that it should be an illustrated story, and not just a short one with a few images, no, it should but a serious one with a good story line, a great plot and a lot of artwork. In our communicty we haven't seen anything like that before! But I'm not a writer, so I decided to contact one of the greatest story tellers Pulptoon has: Pie chart. Pie agreed on it and it took him about three months to finish the story with the fantasy of Dede in her last moments. Dede has given quit some input, and as far as I'm well informed the story is based on true characters out of her life. In december Pie was finished and Dede and myself saw the story for the first time: it was awesome! Than my part came, and as it was for Pie, it was an terrible amount of work for me as well to do the artwork trying to visualize the characters and the scenes Pie had created. But now, almost 6 months later, it is finished and the members of Pulptoon will be the first ones to read this illustrated story. Enjoy!

Read and view the story at Corneel: www.joriscorneel.nl/Story1.htm
Double-clicking the images will give you a larger version of it.

A mental and visual feast of a wonderful tale of cannibalism.. How much more appetizing OUR Dede has bacome because of this intense story. AWESOME! Mouthwateringly delicious! Thanks Corneel and Pie Chart.

And, of course, thanks to Dede, for the inspiration provided to the artists.

Holy Cannibal Cow - that is an epic story, with masterful illustrations. I will have to go back and read it very slowly, needs to be savored.

Thanks to you folks for the enormous amount of time, and effort!

Only Corneel, why are you giving us the bird ?

I enjoyed writing a story that I hoped would be a credible way for a school teacher to get eaten by her pupils in the present world of now. I think it worked pretty well, but the artwork has totally made it. My thanks to both my co-collabotators, but especially to the Master Artist - Corneel - who made it a real labour of love.

And no, we aren't taking any more commissions, at least, not yet!

I appreciate your kind words, Pie, but I don't agree. The story reflects the idea, the plot, the outcome and describes the environment and the atmosphere. The artwork just visualizes it, nothing more. Your part is at least as important as my part, let's keep it that way, Ok?

Wonderful original story and scintillating original art...and, of course, Dede. Wow! I'm not CannToon, but it seems to me that this exemplifies what this board is all about. I voted GOLD.

I am working my way through it, don't want to rush, although I am tempted. Thanks so much to Corneel, Pie and Dede.

Finally got around to reading this (yeah, Helmett, do it when you have the time). Awesome piece of work, both of you! Really hits all the hot buttons. You two deserve a Nobel Prize in something. Thanks, Dede, for providing the inspiration (oh, yeah, I'm hitting "gold", too)

I think there should be some sort of authors' reception for Corneel and Pie Chart, like they have at some pf the large publishing houses. You know, honored guests, fine drink, exquisite food...be sure to invite Dede.

Okay I know I have been lax in commenting on this...but it definitely deserves it, both Pie Chart and Corneel really worked hard to make this happen and the result is amazing...I am flattered and honored to have been a part of it and a help in whatever way I could. I hope this isn't the last we see of a collaboration between the two of them!!!!!!!!

Well, despite the kinds words of Dede, I'm afraid it will be the first but unfortunately also the last time I will be involved in this type of collaboration. Pie did a really great job, I have enjoyed creating the artwork and Dede was a delicious subject. Also, the comments posted in this thread are heart warming for sure. But generally, the reception of this initiative seems to be a bit tame, in several aspects. Considering the amount of work involved in project like this, for me I don't think it is worth trying it again. Some you win, some you loose.

I understand dear Corneel...I can't imagine how much you put into creating your part of it. I do hope that in time you both get the accolades you should for sharing such a labour of love. And please keep creating, I know there are many more besides me who enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be discouraged, Corneel. Your poser stuff are absolutely fantastic! No one else does the butchering process better than you, my friend.

I think the problem with the nature of this fetish is that for artists and writers here, large scale projects tend to take more time for the general audience to appreciate. Call it lack of patience, people preferring instant fixes, it's hard to get people involved in anything other than a picture or two, especially casual visitors who are probably only just mildly fascinated by the fetish anyway. Heck, this fetish is incredibly niche in the first place so that makes it doubly hard.

I'm sure Pooka can vouch for that and also God knows I've written a couple of stories which took me whole lot more time than my most detailed artwork, only to receive bare response. And in a way, I understand why and there's nothing that we can really do about it. The storie/artworks are our own, and we should have a blast doing it, and to heck with responses, we'll do more again in the future, and that's all that matters.

Just have fun doing it, man. And if it feels like "hard work", then why are you doing it in the first place?

Take a break if you must, JC. Regain your creative juices. But please come back again.
